Hawksbill Sea Turtle

IMAGINE
Imagine you are a hawksbill sea turtle. You see a jellyfish. You eat it and then you realize it was a plastic bag a human put in the water. You try to spit it out but you just made it worse. You can not breathe. That is why you should not litter. Cause if you litter you can kill a animal like the hawksbill sea turtle. You do not want to do that because they are endangered.
FACTS
The hawksbills live in the Atlantic and Pacific ocean they are 3 ft long and weigh 101 pounds according to the Turtle Conservancy. The shell is made so sharks their main predator can not eat them and so boats will not cut them. And their beaks are as sharp as a knife if not sharper. Their fins have a spike which is their thumb.
HABITAT
Imagine a great wide sea with sponges everywhere. That is where the hawksbill sea turtle lives but that is also where fishermen like to hang out. Thousands of turtles die because fishermen. But the hawksbills live. They live in Mexico and America and some other places in the world. Females go on land once or twice. Males never come out the water.
Diet
A hawksbill sea turtles diet consist of sponges and jellyfish. They have a beak that is great for snagging a jelly or ripping of a big chunk of a sponge. In aquariums they eat lettuce but they do not eat lettuce in the wild.
HELP THEM OUT
To keep the world the way it is You need to help our friend the hawksbill sea turtle because they eat sponges which reduces sponge growth. If you see litter pick it up so when it rains the litter will not be carried into the ocean. Second if you see a person messing with sea turtle eggs give them a reminder.
CONCLUSION
Hawksbill sea turtles have lived on earth for 65 million years but the the turtle population has gone down a lot due to habitat loss and oil spills. But if we be careful with our boats and trash the sea turtles could live another 25 thousand or million years. You can help by not littering, do not mess with their eggs and do not hunt turtles for sport.
