Habitat
This will tell you about the Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle. There are places where Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle live. They live in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic ocean. The Atlantic ocean borders Georgia.
Nesting
There is an order of nesting.
1. The mom Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle lays the eggs.
2. The eggs hatch.
3. The babies admire the outside world.
4. When they’re done admiring the outside world the mom does not watch them the babies go to the water some don’t survive from vultures.
Predators
You think there are a lot of predators. There are some weird predators to Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles and I’ll tell you some. The predators are sharks, vultures, raccoons, crabs, seabirds and humans.
Prey
Do you know what the kemp’s ridley sea turtle preys on? Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles prey on jellyfish, fish, shellfish, small animals and plants, mats of floating algae and crabs which are their favorite food.
Endangered
Why are they endangered? They are looking for a jellyfish and they eat a plastic bag and thought it was a jellyfish. The Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle choked and died from the litter so we need to stop littering in the ocean. They are endangered by litter in the ocean, water pollution and algae bloom. Some dangerous things to the kemp’s ridley sea turtle are shrimp trawls and fishing lines, balloons pieces, and when ships crash pieces of the ship go into the bottom of the ocean and the Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle thinks it is food.
How to Help
If you would like to save the turtles don’t do the bad stuff and help them. Don’t litter in the ocean and don’t cause acid rain because it can destroy animals.
