The reason I chose this subject was because when my teacher, Ms. Foster, told us about the Longleaf pine forest and how it was getting polluted I, well, just started feeling two things. One, it would be really interesting to research these forests . And two, it's really sad how these forest is getting polluted. So, that's why I wanted to research these forests.

*Chop* *Chop!!* Picture this: two paper mill workers are chopping down another longleaf pine tree. Paper mills, litter, air pollution, and others are polluting the longleaf pine forest habitat. And that's not a good thing. This article is about the bad things that are happening to the Longleaf pine forest and how we can help it.
The Longleaf pine forest habitat
The plants in this habitat are longleaf pine bushes, longleaf pine trees, longleaf pine needles, thorn bushes, regular bushes, and bean plants. The animals in this habitat are gopher tortoises, bears, pigeons, hawks, squirrels, rabbits, and skunks. There are many different kinds of pollution happening towards the longleaf pine forests and habitat.
What is the human impact on the environment?
85% of Georgia’s forests are longleaf pines. The human impact on these forests is that we’re creating a lot of global warming, air pollution, and regular pollution. Which is making a lot of bad stuff happen like fires are happening to frequently. of course, we all know that longleaf pine forests need fires to happen every three years but we’re talk’n five every year. So, that is the human impact on the environment.
How can we help the longleaf pine forests?
Well, we can help the longleaf pine forests by doing lots of things like planting trees, donating money to organizations that help the longleaf pine forests, and many, many others. So, that is how we can help the longleaf pine forests.
A list of the sources I used to get this information
So, the sources I used were the longleaf alliance site, arkive, Georgia forests, plant a billion trees, Dr. Werzburger (a professor at UGA), and time magazine’s site’s section that’s all about time’s reporter’s interview on Georgia tech scientists who are working to help the longleaf pine forests.
Conclusion
So, are you ready to go out there and help those trees? Grab a hot fudge sundae? Just kidding! Okay, so, back to the conclusion. Well, I hope you are. Because it’s gonna be super hard to stop all that bad stuff that’s destroying those trees. And if you do not stop it… Well, the world could literally die! Now go out there and save those forests!
